Pasta Hype

Pasta in the Hut

Pasta, a once Italian traditional food is made of unleavened dough in various forms. It may be a simple dish but it is also a versatile item for its taste, body and sauce variance. And pasta is a full meal itself.

What I love about pasta is that it comes in various forms, sizes and color. And what I love about it is the fact that one shop in Davao City offers their unlimited Pasta Night on scheduled basis and does not only leave you the feeling of euphoria but also the sense of nostalgia.

Coffee Hut once again brought my senses to a whole new hype, a level that embodies not only happiness but also satisfaction.

So, there I was, ended my June fever with a twist of spaghetti and linguine..
It was not only an awesome experience (my first Unlimited Pasta ever!), it was also one of my favorites since, I don't know.. Singapore? :)

And here's my awesome treat for you. And oh, by the way, coffee hut is a coffee shop but with a twist of swirls and pearls. :) The awesome food is awesome.

This is awesome. Malunggay Pesto was something I never expected.
A twist of healthy and full body. And what I really like about this is the fact that
its really healthy (it has mushrooms and tuna on it). Overloaded with goodness and pleasure.

Linguine is in. With the twist of your old style home made spaghetti and
a different pasta beat makes your tummy flutter with happiness.
The feeling of nostalgia brings back memories of the pasta,
the "my-lola-baked-my-goodies" feel is here. Sweet style Pinoy pasta you will
totally enjoy.

SEAFOOD MADNESS! Let the spinach linguine be your pasta favor.
The mouthful of goodness never cease to embrace my palate.
A touch of seafood with the squid crunch will surely make your heart flutter.
And the creamy marinara sauce will entice your taste buds.

This instantly became my favorite pasta of all the entries.
First because I love anything spicy (but not too much).
Second because I love the fact that it's a penne.
The "al dente" effect will always be there plus the chewiness of the meat will sure fire the
palate. And of course, there's home made garlic bread on the side
 makes it even more 'perfecto'.
This is the definition of body and taste. oh la la. :)

But of course, a perfect meal should be complemented with awesome people!
Tudles to pasta lovers out there!
(thanks Charles, Deby and Deb's bro)

Who's that little guy? Before the day ended, my friend Queen dropped by for coffee.
And little Matthew was awesome he wanted to wait the tables too.
Bawal ang simangot dito. hahaha. >____<

Pasta is love for me. For all the pasta lovers out there, this is a must try.
Not only does it look good, it tastes even better.

Pinoy Style

Or the best seller Malunggay Pesto

Why not the creamy seafood pasta?

or let the spice be your judge.. Pasta can do wonders.

My compliments to the chef! :)

Yes, you can choose your pasta.. If you're the health buff, spinach is for you.
Go for the linguine too, it complements any sauce of your choice.

Yes, it's a buffet. It's true and is one of the best.

I chose the usual cola to sustain all the pasta.
Since they don't have the wine (its a coffee shop, remember?) hahaha..
But there's nothing wrong with the good 'ol coffee after a satisfying meal. <3

Lovin' Pinoy. Since I love malagkit, here's one for you.
End your meal with some Suman Malagkit with ripe mangoes on the side.

So, if you haven't tried their delicioux and intricate coffee and meals, you may miss half of your life.
It is not only a dining experience, but also a great place to just come, relax and clear your head.
The ambiance is superb, the food is great and the crew? Well, they're super accommodating.

By the way, Coffee Hut is located in Araullo St.
In case you really don't know, its not so far when you happen to be in downtown area.
If you know Conchings, you are on the right track baby. :)
So, if you come by, say hi to the staff and make a choice.. I know it would be hard coz their food
is just superb but you just have to try.

I enjoyed my last day of June this year. What have you done on your last day of June?

Mad about HUTTER!

Coffee Hut is the new sexy. :))

I love coffee. I could live in the coffee shop for a while without feeling bored.
I just don't know why. So I always love to hunt coffee shops and the likes.

Oh but one day, I was invited by my friend at one of the newest coffee shops here in Davao.
So I was thinking of, you know, the typical shop with dim lights, some bossa music and the smell of
coffee and sweet nothings. But I was definitely surprised when we arrived at the shop.

We were welcomed by the homely "bahay kubo" feel and I was thrilled by the idea, since this seemed like a pinoy coffee shop, I would also be looking forward to pinoy coffee?

But before I began the conquest of sipping a cup of coffee, I came here for one reason -
UNLIMITED BARBEQUE NIGHT!
A night of unlimited sorts of barbeque, unlimited rice and iced tea.
All unlimited. Until you burn your brains out!

A coffee shop that enthralls not only your sense of smell but the comfort of your tummy.
We were welcomed by the owners like we knew each other (awesome customer service) and
not only did they served good food but also good ambiance.

So much for the good thing, we ended the night with, great company, great food and great coffee.
I checked their menu, they sure have more than just the typical coffee menu list.
They have Pinoy coffee pride.
Since I haven't tried all of them, I certainly would want to come back soon and give you more updates.

Since they have been here for only 4 months yet, there are still room for
little adjustments. But I give this shop 4.5/5 for my rating!

It is like getting out of the city without having to go out of the city!
So if you wish to find that "probinsiya-like" ambiance, come find this amazing shop.

If you want to this dandy shop, they're just a few roads away.
Araullo St., cor Mabini St. , (infront of Conchings), Davao City.

Mad about Pinoy? The entrance itself does not only define the idea but also creates a feel
of simplicity and elegance alike.

Order up! The hanging cups does the trick..

You can also have your meeting here. A special room for guests
that accommodates a number of people.

Huuuuray for freedom wall. What customers had to say... it's all in there.

On of their pride may not only be their coffee but also their scrumptious meals.

This I've got to agree.

Paolo? :) hehehe..

Indeed Cofee Hut is a place like home. :)

This are paintings. And was made by one of the owners. <|3

Awesome! The coffee beans spilled out of the painting were real coffee beans.
Cute huh?

We left around 12mn, their closing time!
It was all worth it.

They're open from 8am to 12mn. :)
Somedays they have unlimited barbeque night, somedays are pasta night
So keep yourselves posted!

Oh, before I forget, these four guys are the owners. They're 4th year
Entrepreneurship students from Ateneo de Davao University.
Yes, they're students, they're graduating but they got this business all poshed and polished.
And they don't only own the shop, they also work here and go to school at the same time.
And they don't have servers and cleaners, they do it themselves. How awesome is that?

Thank you Coffee Hut. There's more to look forward to.

So if you want to know more about them, like their page:

And oh, by the way, I apologized for the photos. I took it using my phone since I wasn't able to bring my cam.. maybe next time.

CHEERS!

Sweet Nothings

So you may think that I got don't eat as much as anybody does but lemme say "think again"...
What you see is not usually what you get.

I love to eat and I love to share the things that I love.
I may not be able to eat a hefty lot but I try to.. find ways to eat bits and pieces of everything.
So whenever I feel lonely, alone and sad, the best things in life are food.

Here are some of my favorites!

Krispy Kreme and Toblerone together? Not really. The Krispy Kreme may sound too sweet so
 I prefer the glazed!

Here you go. This is my perfect afternoon delight.
I made the mango float myself (left side) and I mixed up a full
chocolate ice cream with some grapes. Gotta try that.
Munch them up while watching my favorite series last summer was a perfect
indoor day for me.

Since Instagram had been so mainstream these days, I used it anyway.
Here's on of my favorite dessert in PanCake House.
Just a banana split and I'll be alright.

Who doesn't love Nutella? Tell me and I'll spank him! hahaha.
I can live by everyday with a Nutella on my fridge. Right?

BreadTalk! BreadTalk! Everytime I shop at Ayala-Abreeza, I make sure I
pass by BreadTalk. :) Although it may be pricey for a toast, the price is
just absolutely right. Worth every penny for me.

Oh hey! Yes. And if you think ice creams are mainstream, try out
the Korean Ice Cream. Here in Davao, you can buy them in a Korean shop
at the back of Victoria Plaza. :))

Every day is a Sundae. That's what they said.
And so, a craving tummy may need a little push from the simplicity
of McDo's everyday Sundae. :)

If you don't happen to know what this is, there are cupcakes!
A friend of mine celebrated their 39th monthsaversary with her lovie,
and look at this! such a sweet gesture! you can have your cupcakes made out too..

Just some treat for the deluded soul. Wonderful surprise!
ice cream day meant something is up or we're just too bored to go out.

Like I said, Korean Ice cream can be so damn deliciousoooo. :))

Cielo's donut may not be as big as other donuts but they share awesome taste.
And you can get as many flavors as you can! Yummmmmy!

Retreat to my heart. Krispy Kreme is forever love.

All photos are taken by me.

So we had our Team Building activity. On our last day in Samal, we decided to get henna tattoos. :)
Because we had so much fun, we ALL decided to do it.

It was awesome. Although, I don't wanna do it again. I think I'm allergic to henna.
